The Night of Museums is a cultural initiative that started in Paris in 2002 and which has since spread to a number of other European cities. It provides a special way of experiencing culture. The whole of the city and its visitors take to the streets at night to visit museums and monuments, listen to concerts and enjoy hundreds of free activities organised throughout the evening and into the night. The city of Alicante holds this event on Friday, 19 July, opening the doors of its museums from 8 pm to 1 am, where both indoor and outdoor activities are programmed. 

This year, the Museo de Aguas de Alicante is offering visitors a number of special activities, such as children’s workshops, a poetry recital and a jazz concert.
