Objective:

Learn about the water works in this city park which provides lungs for the city, while solving problems with flooding in the San Juan beach area.

Activity:

Guided visit of La Marjal Park, learning about its role in the city’s water system, local flora and fauna from the typical flood plains of the Mediterranean basin, traditional agriculture and typical Alicante mountain vegetation, all in an environmentally friendly landscaped park.

During the visit, tertiary uses of water for the irrigation of parks and gardens, as in the case of the pond, are also explained.

Comments:

Minimum of 10 people per group. Groups requesting the visit should make their own way to the park. The visit lasts about 2 hours.
