The Mayor of Alicante, Luis Barcala, has signed a collaboration agreement with Aguas de Alicante CEO Francisco Javier Bartual for the joint management of the water and sewer system tariff support scheme, to help vulnerable groups in the city. The scheme has a budget of half a million euros. The signing was attended by the councillor for Social Action, Mari Angeles Goitia.

Aguas de Alicante and the City Council are keenly aware of the social reality and special support and resource requirements of many people in society, and are closely involved in helping vulnerable groups and caring for people at risk of social exclusion.
